21 Day Fix: Mind Blown

If there was one thing that blew my mind about 21 Day Fix, it was HOW MUCH FOOD the plan had me eating! I always thought eating “healthy” meant eating almost nothing. 21 Day Fix taught me how wrong I was… Here I have 5 lunches portioned out per the 21 Day Fix containers, and I KNOW I won’t be able to get through all of this during lunch.

What did I make? I’ll call it “Angie’s Little Bit of Everything”…
Onions, garlic, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, peas, tomatoes and chicken… All seasoned with FlavorGod Garlic Lover’s Seasoning and on multigrain spaghetti.

TONS of veggies, TONS of flavor!!!

Tomorrow is Day 1 of 21 Day Fix!!! Woot Woot!!!

I know I haven’t posted much lately… Oops! But no excuses.

NotSo30s - Lunch Salad

Today I am excited to share my lunch. Yes, I know that too many people post random pictures of their food, but I am sharing mine for a reason. Within one mile of my office I have a KFC, Burger King, McDonalds, Chipotle and more quick-lunch options. I also have a Giardino Salads. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve fallen to temptation. Not today though. I craaaaved this. I call this salad “The Mely”. I customized my salad based on a salad my friend made me MONTHS ago. It was so good back then that I still try to replicate it now. Here we have baby greens, strawberries, mandarins, dried cranberries (only a little), fresh mozzarella and a small scoop of roasted skinless chicken breast. The dressing is on the side so I can control the amount. What I love about this salad is that the juicy strawberries and mandarins reduce the need for much dressing! I had a ton of options for lunch today, but this was a WIN!

My friend Melissa and I share a lot of goals and motivation. One of our biggest sources of motivation has been our behind-the-scenes Beachbody support group. We are constantly surrounded by positivity and encouragement. Most importantly, there is ZERO judgment. We are constantly inspired to be better and try harder. We have appreciated our support system so much, that we have decided to pay it forward in multiple ways. First, I would like to introduce Diesel Grind Fitness – a Beachbody motivation, support and accountability group. It does not matter if you work out every day, or haven’t worked out in years. We welcome you with open arms and hope you join us on our fitness journey! Second, we know paying it forward also means giving back! Sweating for the Wedding (Dress)

Today, I tried on my wedding dress… With just over 3 months to go until my wedding I needed to know how it fit.

The zipper did not go up all the way. It didn’t fit.

I definitely was NOT happy. Yet, I didn’t panic. I didn’t cry.

I became MORE motivated than ever before to help lose weight and become fit and healthy for my wedding day, and beyond! As soon as I took off my wedding dress, I put my workout clothes and sneakers ON. I popped in my TurboFire DVD and got to WORK.

No Excuses.

No Quick Fixes.

I’m all about HARD WORK right now. I put in my Soul Mate workout and got to WORK with my Soul Mate trainer! Chalene Johnson makes me feel like I can reach my goals. I know I can. I will sweat for it. I will meal prep for it.

I will fit in my wedding dress and ROCK it in just 3 months.

The Original Christian Grey

Today’s big news is the release of the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer… After watching it I have to admit I am intrigued. Why? I want to see how they show the tortured Christian Grey… Okay. I lie. That was total B.S…. I want to see the Red Room. I want to see how far the director was able to push that aspect of the movie… Sadly, I’m not too excited about watching Christian Grey. From the trailer I do not feel like the actor has the character’s piercing look. I guess I am a bit biased. I was WAY TOOOOO EXCITED when Charlie Hunnam was originally cast as the original Christian Grey. He has the look. He has the ability to make a woman hold onto her undies to keep them from falling just by his LOOK. So yea… I’ll watch Fifty Shades of Grey… And imagine Charlie Hunnam is the one in the Red Room… Oh boy. I need a moment…. Charlie Hunnam <3
