Nowadays it’s nearly impossible not to feel overloaded, stressed out, or just simply like you have no time for yourself. There’s no time to stop, relax, take a break; but the everyday hustle can be detrimental to your mood (among other things). So, we’ve decided to help you find ways to improve your mood with our monthly Feel Good Fix! Think of it as a monthly homework assignment… for yourself. You can do it just one day out of the month, or every single day if you can. It’s all up to you and when you feel you need that extra boost of happiness.
We know “it’s beginning to look a lot like…” whatever it is you celebrate this time of year, so we’re still taking it easy on your bank account. This month, all we’d like for you to do is take a break and watch an old/favorite movie. This is the PERFECT time of year for watching a feel-good flick! Chances are one of your favorite childhood movies is playing at some point this month… and if it’s not, then rent it! You probably already own it; you just haven’t bothered to watch it in a long time. Well, NOW is that time. Give yourself a couple hours. Make a movie night out of it. We’re not talking “Netflix and chill” here. Watch your movie, recite the lines, remember how you felt the first time you saw it. Immerse yourself in the experience so you can feel those same happy feelings again. If you have the time and can’t pick just one fave, make a day of it! You could also space your movies out over the next few weeks to keep the happiness level up all month long.
