About Angie

I am a walking oxymoron – lazy yet driven.  I guess that is an achievement all in itself!

After hours and hours of trying to find an appropriate (and not previously taken) name for this project, this blog began on October 11th, 2012.

Original blog name was “Oh No, The Big Three-Oh!” in anticipation of my 30th birthday.

In April 2014 this blog was re-christened “Not So 30’s!” to show that I have the control to make my 30’s whatever I want them to be (and not what people expect!)…

My visit to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – June 2012

My name is Angie and I am trying be more on the driven side than the lazy side! Being a woman from Miami I am constantly comparing myself to others in every aspect of my life. To be honest, it can get to be quite exhausting. Although I may never completely stop comparing myself to others, I have decided that my life needs a positive turn around.

At 30 years old I am looking for ways to be the best person I can be, inside and out. No one is perfect, and things are always changing… Yet, I hope to improve myself, and live my 30’s knowing that I am living life to the fullest and taking care of my mind and body in the process.

So here again are the basic facts:

30-year-old woman

Living in South Florida.

Currently married to an amazing man

Full-time professional in the insurance industry

I do not have any kids, but I consider my dog BeBe my daughter (her page will follow soon). I now have a “step-daughter”, Sasha. She is my husband’s red Doberman.

With this blog I have basically become an open book.. (or open webpage?)…   I am glad to write about any topics/questions that are brought to my attention.

Hi Angie! Minus the pup and plus a couple of years, you sound like me! I’m about to order the 21-day fix. My coach is a good friend who has lost about 100 lbs. She can relate to where I am now, but I cannot relate to where she is. I look forward to following your journey as I work toward my goals. Ready…set…
